How to make your hair less greasy without washing it

Question Posted Wednesday June 2 2010, 11:30 pm

I have to wash my hair every other day to get it to stay not greasy and pretty. Some days I just get so tired of washing it and I want to go longer. It doesn't smell or anything but it looks so dirty and gross. What can I put in my hair to make it less greasy looking without actually washing it in the shower or bathtub? THANKKKKS

You should be washing your hair every other day. Any less frequent than that and you're bordering uncleanliness. I wash my hair every single day with no problem. I don't see why you can't wash it every other day. It takes 10 minutes. You can't be lazy if you want to look clean and well groomed.

baby powder. just put it in your hair where it looks greasy and pat it out so it doesn't look white. seriously, it's SO good.

Dry shampoo in cans, those are quite good.
Or simply rub baby powder in your roots, this works very well :)

The best thing to do is to get some dry shampoo. They come in aerosol cans and you just have to spray it and brush it through. They work really well and you could probably get by for a couple of days on it if you had to.

If you'd rather not spend money or you can't get hold of dry shampoo, then talc/baby powder works really well. The powder will absorb the excess oil and works in much the same way as dry shampoo. Either sprinkle it on your roots and brush through, or put it on your brush first for more coverage.
