bubble type thing on my gum

Well, I sometimes get a bubble type thing on my gum, hurts when i push on it(of course) and i remember the dentist telling me years ago if i wash my mouth out with salt water that it will go away within a day...Well i just wondering WHAT IS IT? and why do I even get it?? at the moment its behind my 2 front teeth, like on that topp bit of my gum :S can anyone tell me what it is and why i get it? dentist only ever told me to wash with salt water and it will go away so it doesnt sound like an infection??

Hey. I used to get these all the time. They're called "ulcer". It's just bacteria in your mouth that causes it. Nothing major. Salt water does help it go away. They usually don't last long. To prevent them, try brushing your gums more. Hope I helped. (:
