what does it mean to put out?

i mean like.. if someone says.. "do you put out?" whats that mean? a guy asked me at school when he asked me to the dance and i said yes to the dance but idk to this other question. Is it bad? everybody laughed?

It's an extreme insult. You should talk to the boy right away about this, and consider NOT going to the dance with him (hey, you might have more fun going solo anyway).
