cute curly hair

Question Posted Thursday May 13 2010, 5:43 pm

i can't achieve the curly look and i really need help on it. I have medium brown hair and its shoulder length. Its naturally straight but my hair holds curls really well.. its not like i curl it and then it falls apart after an hour. It actually stays in for a good 2 days before it looks bad. the only problem is that when i curl it, it gets kinda frizzy. like there's a bunch of small strands just sticking straight up. and i try to hairspray it down and use serum but doesn't work. and its not like my hair is damaged because its actually very healthy considering i use professional salon products.

also whenever i curl my hair, its too curly. like the spirals are big and tight.. I want it to be more small and loose. like this picture right here:

also- how do i make it more wavy looking? i have a straightener that can straighten, crimp, and curl hair but i have no clue how to actually create waves. its it like curls but more relaxed curls? or what?

hey there
ok for the frizz try kia anti frizz spray works like a bomb then for the curls in the 1st pic use a hair dryer and one of thoes round hair brushes, put large portions of hair at ones and spiral and brucsh like curlers then blow dry that till it get quite curly (use same method for 3rd pic)
for 2nd pic id suggest wrapping small bits of hair around straightner and close quite tight then slowly pull it down while still hold tight
DO NOT PULL TO SIDE just straight down and that should create locks
then to make beach curls go to clickes (only supplyed at clicks) get "toney and guy beach curl spray" or make your hair into a whole lot of plats (not to small and not to big) then use fair amounts of hair spray on each plat and let it dry then use the straightner and go over each plat about 8 times and let plat loose
hope this helped

k well to get rid of the frizz i suggest getting something meant for frizz and since your into salon products just go to your salon or where you purchase your salon products and ask them for a frizz easer or what i find helps is taking a dryer sheet and rubbing that in your hair it takes all the static and frizz out of you hair also lotion is good to use to remove frizz try some of these things im sure something will work. Now for the loose small curls i suggest using more pieces of hair so when your curling take a larger chunk of hair and that will make them more wavy beachy loose looking curls like the ones in the pictures. Also for the wavy look again take larger chunks of hair and pull the curls away from your face in a kinda side ways motion and make sure the hair isnt so tight around whatever tool you use make sure its loose. If this doesnt help go onto youtube there are tons of girls who make videos about this kinda hair that will be more helpful just type in loose curls tutorial or something. Good luck :D
