genetic psychic powers? I know, i know...its ridiculous
My aunt is a medium. My grandmother thinks she's a little crazy and my mom just nods along and goes with whatever she she says but never really agrees, but both my mom and grandma believe in spirits. I never really believed in spirits, not in the transparent person following you around type of way but I know that when I'm in a room I can feel the energies? But only in small uncrowded spaces. Example, I've always felt this strange pressure in my parents bedroom and my front yard. My house used to belong to my grandparents, my grandfather commit suicide in the front lawn of what is now my house. I never knew this until a few years ago though and I've been feeling it for years. I also have intense deja vous. I've had dreams that I'm talking to people I didn't know, then I'll meet them years later. It happened with my current boyfriend, never told him though.
Question is if these types of psychic "powers" are genetic?

Generally some gifts do go down in genetics, but not all of them do, we chose our gifts as a part of our lives when we planned things out. I know a mother and daughter who have completely different abilites. The mother is a healer and the faughter is a medium and a c reader. Although most people do move on, they may still be there but it could be the residual energy of the trauma of suicide. Do the same things happen over and over like a broken tape or does the haunting seem intellegent?
with the dreams, you may be connected to them on the other side or in a past life and they share this connection with you now.

My friend had the same dreams of people and then she will meet them years later..
I am not sure what sought of energy you are feeling in your parents room, if its bad energy like hate, anger or energy that scares then that is not Good energy, but if it is uplifting energy and spiritual energy then thats good energy.
The only spirit i believe in right now is the holy spirit. the best advice i can give you is to pray and if you want me i will pray for you.
If your grandfather committed suicide, and was a man of God, i doubt that that is his spirit floating around. because when we die, we are suppose to wait in the grave until Jesus comes back......
If you feel that energy in uncrowded areas and it feels like more that 10 people are in a room when they is actually only one, then pray because if that was the energy of God, he wouldn't want to scare you.
When you Go to sleep always pray and pray. i used to have the same dreams but when you truly pray, God answers your prayers. always ask for protection even in your dreams...
Maybe for-seeing who you will meet in the future is you gift... pray and ask God if it is.
