Shari (my best friend) since 1st year high school was who i thought the most IDEAL. We dont have much in common but i grew closer to her.. sometimes, even silence is understood.. we fought a lot when we're in high school. When i entered college, i met two people who change my life for the better. I learned a lot and i managed to be more of myself when I'm with them. Sometimes, i compare them with Shari but i shrug off the idea.. But i came to a point, when i started to doubt my friendship with Shari.. She's this very sophisticated lady. You can't really grab her to a street food joint or do fun, stupid things with her.. I MUST be my BEST, city girl when I'm with her. We talk about serious matters and sometimes problems are magnified when i'm with her. And i talked to her about this but she says im just making a big deal out of all this. When im with my college buddies, i honestly feel happier and just being ME... how can i handle this?

Katlyn answered Thursday May 6 2010, 10:59 pm: I think if your not having a good time around someone then you should be around them because you only want people in your life that you have fun with and who you can just be crazy and funny and just yourself you shouldnt have to change yourself for her if shes more serious and sophisticated then let her be but you dont have to be especially if your not in reality i know shes been your friend for awhile but sometime even old friendship die and you just have to move on so dont feel bad i mean im not saying totally cut her out of your life but just spend less time with her otherwise your going to have to be someone your not around her and thats not good. I hope i helped good luck :D [ Katlyn's advice column | Ask Katlyn A Question ]
