I currently have an enV Touch, but my sister is giving me her Blackberry Tour.
She's had it for five months.
I WOULD NOT be using the internet on it. I don't use internet on phones.
I would use it for the normal texting, calling, IMing thing.
She says I would need to start the "Blackberry Service" in order to use it.
And she says that's an extra 30 bucks a month.
What IS the Blackberry Service? What does it do?
Do I really need it if I wont be using the internet?
She uses the internet on her phone but I'll be cancelling it.

You MUST purchase this service in order to have a blackberry, so you cannot cancel the internet on a blackberry. You don't need the service if you're not using internet, however it is mandatory if you want to use a blackberry. If you're not using the internet or email, a blackberry is really a waste of money.
