In love with a boy leaving the country forever.

Question Posted Monday April 26 2010, 9:36 am

The boy I am in love with finished school in 2 weeks. He goes back to his home country because he was only here on a student visa. He doesn't like America. So he wants to leave. But I haven't told him how I feel because I am scared. He has already mentioned before that I seem ready to run away with him and he like me but he isn't ready to run away with me. what do I do?

Thank you for your response M. It is crazy. mainly because I'm 22 and have nevvvvver been in love or even considered it a possibility. and we have know from the beginning he was leaving, and I am a glutton for punishment I suppose because I can't not see him while he is here. Neither of us will distance ourselves and he speaks like he will never forget me. I want to try long distance. but I haven't mentioned it to him. I hate he thinks I want to run away with him, but I really just want to know him so much longer. I have never been forced to say goodbye to anyone. =\ and this is the most heartwrenching thing to think about. I'm glad to have known him, but I'm terrified at what his departure will do. thanks for the great advice. I know i have to move past it. I just don't know how I'm going to make it through it. =[.

I'm really sorry girl. I know that this is a delacate issue for you, and you want a solution that will make everything okay. I know you wish he'd just stay so you could love him. But that can't happen, now can it?

Honey, you might want to try to let go. Obviously, he is leaving, and obviously he isn't ready for you to come with him. Maybe it's time to move on to someone ele. What if he isn't your soulmate, and the real one is out there waiting for you?

There is the crazy solution. Wait it out, maybe a year or two, and go try to find him. It's the absolutly crazy, thoughtless, lovestruck solution, and I don't reccomend it. If you go and he is with someone else...well that will certainly put a damper on your day.

I hope I helped. Good luck!
