how long does it take to get a tan?

Question Posted Wednesday April 14 2010, 7:05 pm

how long is it going to take me to get a tan?

how long does it take to get a tan in a tanning bed and how long does it take to get a tan in the sunshine?

Is one way better than the other? I heard that one way you can get skin cancer and the other way you can't? Is there a safe way to tan and if there isn't is one of the ways safer than the others?

Thank you!

There is no safe way to get a tan. Any sun exposure causes long-lasting damage to your skin. Skin cancer rates are rising in young women because of tanning beds.

The safest way to look tan is to get a spray-on, or to use a self-tanner.
