How to prevent getting a raw nose during a cold or allergy season?

Question Posted Wednesday March 24 2010, 10:56 pm

I have really bad allergies in the spring when trees and plants bloom out. I take allergy medicine but I still get a stupid runny nose sometimes. I use a lot of kleenex tissues but my nose seems to get a little raw feeling after awhile. Is there a way to prevent this and stop it from happening or heal it up really fast?

buy kleenex with aloe vera in them, its a lot more soothing when you blow your nose with these

I usually try to wet the tissue before I blow my nose and then I get some vaseline (not lotion) and I just rub some where my nose usually gets raw. Like under my nostrils before I go to sleep. By the morning it's usually fine and my friends stop calling me Rudolf. Hope this helps. :)
