ok so for the past couple days my ears having been in agonizing(sp?) pain . i went to the doctors today and he said i have an ear infection in both ears. i got prescribed numbing ear drops and amoxxicilin. i have been using the drops all day but although i still have some pain i now have this obnoxois(sp?) loud annoying ringing noise. is this normal am i just overreacting?

Maybe give some free advice about: Health? candi4545 answered Thursday March 25 2010, 10:28 am: i have this same exact problem when i get ear infections....thats what its from.....also if they start to like pop like when your on a mountain that is from the ear infection too.... like the other person said take your medicine til the last one is gone or the ear infection will return....if its a serious ear infection sometimes amoxil cant do the job and knock it all the way out so if your ears are still ringing popping or hurting by the time u run out or meds go see the doctor again or in about a week ul be right back to that terrrible pain....not to mention the annoance of the ringing [ candi4545's advice column | Ask candi4545 A Question ]
karenR answered Thursday March 25 2010, 7:17 am: You won't notice much of a change until after you have been taking your antibiotic for at least 24 hours. It will get better every day. Continue taking your antibiotic, even when you start to feel better so it doesn't come back.
Your ringing ears could be just an annoying symptom of your ears being infected. If it continues after you have finished your antibiotics, discuss it with your doctor. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
