Video sound on iPhone

I have an iPhone 3GS and I want to know if there is a way to play the sound from my videos when I am not in the iPod app? Like for example if I am watching a movie and I wanted to continue to hear the movie when I push the home button, as it does when you are playing music. Is it possible to do this?

no unfortunately its not. I looked so hard for an answer when i wanted to listen a song, but only had the music video, and everyone said its not possible!
