My boyfriend is being sarcastic and mean.

Question Posted Friday March 12 2010, 9:46 am

My boyfriend of a year and a half is suddenly being mean and sarcastic to me. Usually he is pretty nice and doesnt take out his anger on me. I don't kno if its something i said or did to provoke this. We just moved in to a new house and have gotten a new puppy. He also just turned 21 and we are supposed to celebrate his birthday this weekend, but he is increasingly agitated. Ive been trying everything i can to help him with the move and new pup. Should I try to make him feel better or call him out for making me feel bad?
Confused Girlfriend,age 18

You need to sit him down and have a good long talk. Find out what is bothering him and don't settle for the "nothing" answer.

Don't put up with him being mean and sarcastic to you. Let him know you are not going to put up with it. Once you do he will continue.

You need to find out what is going on with him. once you talk it out, you will both feel better.
