Well for the longest time I have been wanting to go Emo style on my hair. I have really thick, wavy hair that comes down to the middle of my back. The thing were I am stuck is I have nooooooooo idea how to go about it. I don't have a ton of money to spend by going to a salon so that is out of the question. I was thinking...Do you do it yourself? If you go into a hair dresser place do you say you want an emo cut? (I did that last time and they didn't seem to have the slightest idea of what I was talking about lol) I went again and said I wanted it "Choppy" and I STILL didn't get the haircut I wanted! I even bought 2 pictures and it was STILL way off. -,- Now I'm finally giving up and was thinking of doing it myself...but I don't think that's the smartest idea. Can anyone help me out? I have a Fantastic Sams and a Super Cuts near me if that helps...
Melody answered Sunday March 7 2010, 4:12 pm: Take a picture of the haircut you want, and tell them that is EXACTLY how you want it. I took in a picture one time, and the hairdresser had the nerve to say, "I don't think you will like that, so I am going to do it like this instead." It burnt me up so bad!
You have to stand your ground. Walk in and say, "I want my hair to look just like this picture." If you still don't get the results you want, ask them to re-do it, giving specific, but polite, instructions on what you want different. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]
