When will I be protected?
I take Sronyx birth control and I have the pack where it is 21 active pills then 7 inactive pills. This week I am not the inactive pills so me and my boyfriend are not going to have sex (since we don't like using condoms). But how long does it take for me to get back on track and protected when I get back on the active pills next week? I want to be sure I'm protected before we start having sex again. I KNOW that birth control doesn't protect you 100% and we should be doubling up and using a condom but we don't like to so don't lecture me on that. I would just like to know when I'll be protected. How long have you been on the birth control? Its several weeks if not a month or something when you first start taking the birth control for it to start working. The inactive pill is when you are on your period. and the active are the 3 weeks that you are not on your period. so you should be fine with having sex as long as you have not just started taking the pill.
