Kiss on the cheek?

Question Posted Wednesday February 17 2010, 11:54 pm

Hi!:) I'm 18f

I've always had an attraction to my good guy friend. We use to flirt more .. but not so much. We've never kissed or anything. He will only hug me once in a great while if one of us is leaving. I kind of want to give him a kiss on the cheek though, but not in a creepy way, if that makes sense. I don't kiss people on the cheek? Haha, but thats bascially the only way to kind of show my affection other than flirting. I think on the lips would be way too much, because we're just friends, and I'd like to be more, but not necessarily in a relationship with him. It's such a confusing situation, sorry its hard to follow but what do you think I should do?? I don't want to kiss him on the cheek and have him be like what the heck?? And then it be all awkward you know.

hahaa, yes :] i know EXACTLY what you mean.
alright sooo.. to make it not awkward, it cant just be spontaneous. if he doesnt see it coming, then its bound to be awkward, yuh know ? so you have to drop some hints first.
firstly: when youre talking to him, make sure, youre standing kind of off to the side of him, like, if youre facing him, dont be DIRECTLY in front of him, stand a little off to the left or right, whichever youre mor comfortable with.
secondly: when youre talking to him, smile and laugh alot, bat your eyelashes, yuh know.. do your flirting thing :] and then keep moving closer to him.
thirdly: when youre going to leave, hug him tight for more than 5 seconds, and then slowly let go, and as youre slowly letting go, turn your head slightly so your cheeks brush against eachothers, asnd then quickly kiss his cheek as your lips make contact with his cheek. it should be a quick peck, nothing like youre about to make out with his cheek haha ;]
then he'll probably be like, what was that for ? and youll just be like.. "oooooh :] yuh knooww.. just because :]"
trust me, it wont be awkward if you just follow my steps. and theres other ways to show ou care too. you can write him notes throughout the day just letting him know that youre thinking of him. but youre totally right, kissing him on the lips would probably not be the best or appropriate thing to do right now haha. youre feelings are still mixed up and youre still both on the "friend" status right now. oh and while im at it, dont kiss him on the cheek twice. if youre going to do it, either kiss him on the cheek when you first see him and hug him or when youre leaving.
good luck ! have fun :] and dont sweat it.. and dont think about it too much either, its easy 3 steps. ;] hope i helped, if you need anything else, get at me ! xxo.
