When trying to keep up with a relationship over the internet, there can be minor complications. If you guys were still together for a year and a half, it didn't stop you then. & i know all girls would love to have a guy there to hold them and tell them how much they love eachother, but if you think you can do this then do it. But when you finally meet this guy in person, don't move to fast. because you can never tell if anyones lying over the internet.
Godd luck (:

the way i look at it.. i see 2 possible solutions

a. he could be lying to you and actually "cheat" on you with other girls who live closer to him. (aka a player)

b. he could actually love you and mean all those things.

I dont know the answer to which one could be true, but you gotta trust your instincts. listen to your gut. not your heart or head.

if you believe that he really does love you, and that you he's not using you.. then i'd say keep him. maybe dont take it too far (like long distance relationship) but stay in touch. maybe during the summer, you 2 could take a trip and meet somewhere? maybe with your families?

its really what you feel is right. if you want to stick with him, i wouldn't give up on him. there's no harm in having too many friends. so just keep him as a friend (or friends with benefits if you wish) and maybe in the future when you guys are able to meet, you can see where it goes on from there. let fate guide you :)

good luck!
