I have really flat hair also, and I use Tresemme volume shampoo & conditioner but I'm not sure if it really works. You can try teasing your hair, but it will still look natural if you do it good. After you straighten your hair or do whatever to it, take the top of you hair, and split it in sections. Spray hair spray and use a comb to tease it. Brush it down afterwards and you will have volume. Throughout the day you can always tease it more, but I do it every day and it's the simplest way to get volume.

I use the bump-its sometimes too, they work lol :)

Oh there's lots and lots of shampoos and conditioners made for volume. but i dont think they work that well. Have you tried mousse? just spray some mousse onto your hands and then flip your head upside down and apply mousse to the roots of your hair, and then blow dry your hair with your head upside down. You don't neccessairly need the mousse, because just by blow drying your hair with your head upside down, will give you lots of volume.

also if you have a straightener with curved edges, you could take some hair and then clip the straightener at the roots and then press and turn the straightener a little so that way, the curved edges give you that bump (aka volume) look.

spray hair with head upside down to keep the volume.
