I'm a dude, My voice is fairly deep but depending on the day I can still hit higher octaves. I'm not sure why it varies but I can't always sing the higher notes. Any tips/thoughts/suggestions for increasing my vocal range?
Thanks

The second pair, when mastered can be used to sing/talk most octaves and pitches. The second pair, can also sound monstrous, and deep in some people, like the monks in that one country I've read about. You can't "increase" your vocal range, it usually depends if you can master your second vocal cords. Your first one grows then stops growing as a result of puberty. How old are you? If you're young, this is normal. Also, a tip to sing higher, is always helium. But that can kill you when you use too much. [ khaos4ng31's advice column | Ask khaos4ng31 A Question ]

It won't hurt your vocal chords to go higher so that's a good thing. You just need to practice a lot of breathing exercises and be sure to work on your falsetto as much as possible. Practice and muscle memory is any vocalist's best bet. I hope this helps a little. [ HollyHandsome's advice column | Ask HollyHandsome A Question ]
