i'm 5'4 & weigh 124, but i'm not the skinniest girl . i want to get toned up abs, well enough that you'd be able to see them in a bathing suit, & my butt and thighs to get harder and bigger. i started going to the gym recently, but i dont feel what i'm doing is enough! can someone help me please!! i want to have the perfect bikini body by spring break .
Over the summer I ran on the trails behind me house which have some large hills and i would challenge myself to run up every hill. It worked wonders on my butt and abs! I know its winter but if you really want to get a better body i really think cardio is all you can go to get results fast. [ Saynotogymclass's advice column | Ask Saynotogymclass A Question ]

Secondly, i wouldn't be expecting a totally fab beach body in like a month. Is that when spring break starts? I don't know, I live in Australia so its like Autumn next month. Anyway, I really don't believe there is a quick solution to getting abs, just like there isn't to losing weight. And, if you do find a solution, it's usually going to be incredibly bad for your body and your health.
Definitely talk to a trainer and maybe a dietitian about what you need to be doing exercise wise and food wise.
Finally, there are other alternatives to just exercising hard-out at a gym. Things like yoga and pilates help tone your muscles. I'm not sure what your doing at the gym, but make sure your doing a variety of exercises on different equipment, like not just using a treadmill but different kinds of weight lifting devices and things like running or sit ups and what not. Nothing wrong with a little diversity to keep things interesting and to make sure your working every muscle in your body.
I just want to add, if you exercise and eat in a healthy manner, you'll get a fit body and the body you were always meant to have. As long as your being smart about the exercises your doing and the food that's going into your mouth, you'll be a healthy girl and that's what matters the most. Health, not looking a certain way.
I know a few people who have wanted to gain muscle. One was a girl and she started taking fat building supplements because she was just so skinny no muscle seemed to be forming. She didn't get the results she wanted and it took her months to gain even a little weight, which is now all around her tummy area (it's not big at all, but she notices it now and hates it). Another guy I know exercises and eats total junk but has amazingly muscly arms, he's a bit of a tubby guy because of what he eats but he exercises so much that he ends up with a buff body.
Different things will work for different people and different bodies. Find an exercise and diet plan that works for you and your body. It might not give you the body you want right now, but eventually you'll get it. [ xXxPuNki-PiXiExXx's advice column | Ask xXxPuNki-PiXiExXx A Question ]
