Daintree answered Thursday January 28 2010, 12:07 am: DO NOT USE permant hair dye on your entire head it will fry it seriously. Older woman use permant to dye the roots of GREY hair only it's just roots only use semi permant for the rest of the hair. here's what they do permant hair dye goes right into the hair shaft and srivels the shaft making it brittle and hard to manage. that's why you only use it near the roots by the time it grows out it has lost its ability to do too much damage it also has better coverage for grey hair which is hard to dye with semi's Semi's make your grey hair orange or red not what your looking for for in a base colour. Semi's smell beautiful if it smells good it's a semi now this product will cover your outer shaft of the hair and make it lush full and managable. Semi's plump up the hair and permanants shrivel especially if you dye permanat over pemanant. this is very damaging. It only last 6 or 8 weeks or so but every time you wash a little more washes away. When I was in school I always used Napro hair colours my hair was amazingly shiny & healthy. [ Daintree's advice column | Ask Daintree A Question ]
