accidently deleted real tec
ok so my windows xp (acer) laptop computer was making all my sound go crazy like it sounded all chipmunky. and everything. like high pitched and all that. well i was talking to my friend that said she is a computer genious. well i read to her i had real tec or something like that and she said to delete it cause thats what making my computer do that. cause she used to have a laptop like mine i guess. well i deleted it and now my sound is completely missing from my entire computer. and i know like nothing about computers so i have no idea to get my sound back on... and i went into control panel and stuff. and clicked on audio and everything and its all light like you cant click anything! so someone please help me asap! i have to give the computer back to my mom tomoro and she is going to kill me!!!! and plus i cant use webcam on msn or anything cause my audio device thing is gone! please help me!!!!!!

Click the check box, hit next, and choose the second download (the one that says its for XP). Download it, install it, reboot.
Realtek is an audio driver, its the most common one out there, I've got it on my computer. Its not a virus or an improper program, its a necessary part of your system software. I linked you to the most updated version of the driver, if you still have problems afterwards send me a private message and I'll see if I can help further.
Your friend is a liar and an idiot if she told you she's a computer genius. A genius doesn't tell you to delete your friggin audio drivers.
