Too Late?

Question Posted Sunday November 15 2009, 10:13 am

The University of Maryland says that in order to be considered for a merit scholarship you have to have your application in by November 1. This might be a stupid question but if I have it in by the middle of november do you think it's possible I would still be considered?

My sister, who also applied for the merit scholar at University of Maryland, said no. She said when they mean Nov 1, they mean it. It is too late to send it i now. Sorry. But you can always try to send it in and see what they say. Hope I could Help! :)

Odds are you probably wouldn't get it... sorry. Colleges are usually pretty serious about those deadlines, especially with so many people trying for a scholarship and so little money to give all of the qualified candidates.

But there is still a chance that you might get it. Never get pessimistic about college, because there's always transferring, or loans, or re applying; there's a million ways to get into a college if it's really the right fit for you.
