Basically Volleyball is my life, I have been playing it for only 3 years (all year) and I absolutely love it. I plan to play in college, and I have always been naturally good at it. Well anyway I hurt my arm, my shoulder to be exact, (the back part of it) near my rotator cuff. I dont know if I injured my rotator cuff or not, but my shoulder hurts really bad, I litterally cant hit the ball. Ive been so depressed lately, Im actually crying about it. Tryouts for club volleyball are wednesday the 18th of november, and Im scared my arm wont be healed. I have put ice and heat on it, but I keep getting so upset and frusterated. It has hurt for about 3 weeks, and hasnt stopped. I dont know what to do, I cant be happy and Im always crying when Im alone. What if I play horribly at tryouts and dont make the team? My friends are taking private lessons to get the new coach to like them so they get on the team, and I cant even play volleyball right now. Please help me. any advice? Im so upset.

think positive thinking negatively will only make the situation worst your best option is to see a doctor they'll be able to help you and tell you exactly what needs to be done to make your arm
heal until then continue icing and putting heat on
it you can be happy you just can't let this discourage you and get you down calm down relax take deep breaths :)

Leroy Tolstoy is credited for saying. "Man often tries to change the world, but seldom ever tries to change himself." In this scenario, you're just going to have to hope for the best. You have 3 years of experience under your belt, so I'm sure you'll do fine when tryouts come around. This may seem tough but.. If I were you, I would try to play through it. I'm not saying thats the best option, please don't misunderstand. But if you really want this, you should go for it. I hope your arm starts feeling better soon. I assume you've seen a doctor. But.. just consider this. If you don't make the team, there's nothing you could have done to try and change the outcome. Its not you fault. You can never blame yourself for this.
