Can you skip a period on birth control and not be pregnant? Sooooo I am on birth control. I missed a period but I took a pregnancy test and it said I wasn't pregnant. Now it is time for my next period and I am not having it on time.
Can you skip a period on birth control and not be pregnant or should I start picking out names? :)

Yes, depending on the brand of birth control, it works as though you never have one. It is very common if you have a birth control that prevents pregnancy and makes you still have a period that some will be skipped. Check with your doctor or maybe you can find it on google, and search for the sideeffects to the type you are using. They may be able to reveal whether you will not experience periods while taking or you will while taking them but the first couple are skippe. ]
There is a chance you could be pregnant If you miss any dosage of birth control and no back up protection, you could be pregnant. However sometimes it could just mess with your hormones if you miss one. My suggestion is to take another pregnancy test. Sometimes they can come out wrong.
