Some people do, some don't. I personally didn't, but I did the second time. It did hurt me, but not as bad as I thought it would. It's better if you feel relaxed and if you are with the right person. If you're tense and not sure you want to do it, it most likely will hurt more.
The pain isn't as bad as everyone made it seem. But then again, everyone is different. Some people may not feel it that much and some it might hurt bad.

i did :) but not from sex. The guy ate me out first and it was amazzinnggg. You should have your guy do that for you because it will also probably make the sex hurt less since you'll be relaxed and wet.
