Can titanium sizes be altered?

Question Posted Monday November 2 2009, 6:33 pm

For our third year anniversary, my boyfriend and I exchanged rings, though there's a problem. He measured his finger wrong (don't know how so don't even ask me haha), and it's a little too big. Anyways, my question is.. if it's a titanium band, is there anyway it can be cut and made a bit smaller? I know titanium is a strong metal, so I'm not sure if it's possible. As you can tell, I know nothing about jewelry. Please help! Thanks

Titanium rings are very strong and they can't be resized.
They can sometimes resize titanium rings by a little bit by stretching them up but then can't be resized down.

If you gave the shop/makers the wrong finger size you should contact them as soon as possible so you can discuss options with them about whether they can make another ring for you, for a re-make fee.

Hope we helped
Good luck.
