so i'm turning 18 soon, and my mom is paying for my tattoo that i've been wanting.
but the problem is, is i cant decide what i want.
I kinda thought maybe something religious, but, my religion can change here in a few years.
i was thinking a peace sign and a heart and some music notes maybe? cause i really like those.
i had this idea to get a barcode, and put my parents birth digits on there, like i'm an item of my parents, but i still dont know.
any help?

Ink is habit forming, set limits! AVOID RED INK! Ask around for referals, check licenses, OBSERVE EVERY THING! What you 'brand' your self with is going to be permanent, so think long and hard before you do any thing!
Here are a couple ideas-a picture of a lost pet/relative, a piece of sporting equipment/dancing shoes, your name translated into another language.... [ DancingDoe's advice column | Ask DancingDoe A Question ]
Daintree answered Sunday October 4 2009, 10:13 pm: I personally do not like tattoos on woman, because my mum encouraged me to be lady like. in my youth tattoos on woman were worn by the likes of Mouri's bikie moll's and prostitute's. Now days it's rare to see someone like myself with out tattoos. I thought about the rebelious thing but I grew out of it I don't regret it but that's me. When I see a woman largely covered with pictures' all I think about is what is she going to look like when she is 70 or 80yrs scary isn't it. so,if you really must have one try going to the tattoo palour and search for the one you like that represents your aim ,belief, destination birthsign, chinese wisdom something meaningfull to your being. because what you mentionaed dosen't do it for me it seems corn ball to me. Yikes remember it's permanent.
I'll tell you the ones I know of, I know my niece got her 1st born son date of birth in large writting across her shoulders she has since then had 3 more daughters OMG. my neighbour has her 3 kids names delicately written on her tummy under her hip bone quite pretty too.my girlfriend had a midlife crisis and got a Ullysses butterfly her most favourite thing in the whole world on her ankle he mum bought her a diamond butterfly belly button ring too which she had inserted and got cought on a washing basket youch. & I see a lot of very young girls with tatoos across the bottom of their back just visable at the top of their jean anyway you should have a chat with the parlour some inks are shit too they loose there definition & clarity quickly this looks crap should take decades for the definition to disperse so choose your parlour wisely. Putting it in an inconspicuous place might be the go. I hear it hurts so if you stay small it will be over faster Good luck & happy Birthday.
PS You know what I got when I turned 18 NOTHING. I sipped a glass of sparkling wine with mum & dad that's it. [ Daintree's advice column | Ask Daintree A Question ]
