Its Keri :-D

Question Posted Wednesday September 30 2009, 7:11 pm

Hello my favorite columnist...I may even start calling you my advice guru lol. Well I talked to my boyfriend and I basically was straight forward with him. I didn't sugar coat how he usually would rather spend time with his friends than me and he cleaned his act right up. Now our relationship is better than ever. BUT now I want to do something nice for him, something really nice/romantic/fun/creative. I feel like he's been so good to me lately and I want to surprise him and do something nice for him. We live in a town where the only thing for people our age to do is either go to the movies or to the mall so I don't want to do that. My conscience is feeling kind of guilty too. I broke one of his expensive watches (accidentally!!) and ruined another (accident again), now he has none D-: So I want to make that up to him too by doing this surprise. Any ideas??

kerri! :] I haven't heard from you in SOO LONG, where have you been?! ahaha ;] well, I'm glad everything went well. trust me, my boyfriend and i have had somewhat of the same drama and talking to them just HELPS so much hahaa, if they think theyre gonna lose you, they actually TRY to be the person they WANT to be for you. so, good job girl :] :] I'm happy for you.
as for the surprise thing, you can do a buncha things. there are like, endless options, so ill give you a few ideas ... 1st rule, you have to tell him that you have a surprise for him, but that you're going to surprise him with it. he'll keep asking you what it is and when he'll get it, but dont give in. just be secretive and keep him guessing, it'll liven up your relationship, trust me.
- you can make him a bracelet. i know, it sounds gay. but i did it for my boyfriend and he never takes it off. it's one of those friendship bracelet things [i can tell you how to make one, step-by-step if you decide to do this. haha.] just ask him what all of his favorite colors are, 4-6 colors. and then make it for him, give it to him when you see him or in school, tell him to close his eyes and just tie it on him. he will LOVE THAT and he wont take it off. like, my boyfriend plays football, so he tapes it up every game around his wrist just because he doesnt want to take it off. it will also be a cute reminder that you made it for him. it will make him feel special, trust me.
- another thing you can do is find out what his favorite movie is, rent it, buy it, whichever, get some popcorn and his favorite type of candy, invite him over, then when he gets there, blindfold him and tell him to trust you. hahaa. lead him to the room with the movie and everything, holding hands, then sit him down on the couch or whatever and play the movie, then take his blindfold off. he will be so surprised and actually know you put alot effort into surprising him like that. he'll love it :]!
- you can also go to a park [im sure you have parks around there] or even your backyard could do.. just somewhere you can just relax on a blanket or something. then watch the sunset, and count the stars together :] bring your ipod though, and play his favorite music. he will honestly LOVE IT. also, bring a pen with you, then take his hand and draw a "watch" on his wrist. then tell him he can look at that until you try to get him a new one :] he will laugh and melt.
- does he like hats or video games or anything like that ? i know my boyfriend loves hats hahaa. and i noticed that the only color hat he didnt have was yellow. so i told him i was gonna find him a yellow hat and he had to wear it no matter what. [he forgot about this, which was good] because i got the hat [yellow yankees] and he hates the yankees ahahah. it was classic. i surprised him with it and he instantly remembered and was like awww :] :] it was great. so like, things like that will prove your love.
- you could also get him a watch, if you have the money.. i know im kinda lacking in the money category at the moment :] ahaha. but he'd like that. also. leave him cute notes in his locker or when you see him in school and stuff, just slip it into his hand, kiss him, and then walk away. he will love that :] trust me.
- get a box or jar of some sort that he can put his hand into. fill it up with a mixture of wrapped candy and slips of paper. the paper must have something you will do for him. like one back massage. clean his room. tell him why you love him. things like that and then give it to him. and everytime you guys hang out, he can pick a slip from the jar and you'll have to do whatever you put on the slip. he'll love that :] i can guarentee it.
well, anyways, if you need ANYMORE ideas [i hope those sparked some inspiration] then let me know. i hope to hear from you soon ! good luck, have fun, hope i helped, and yayayayyayy im sooo happy for you ! xxo.
