im on the xc team so i run. i usually do curlups and bikes and ab workouts before and/or after i run. how many should i do in order to get nice abs by halloween? and any good advice. thank youu!

Activites like crunches and sit ups are fairly effective. Depending on your level of already existing core strength I would say start of with slow and precise crunches - concentrate on isolating the movement so that it is only your stomach muscles that are doing the work. You will feel this movement start to have a burning effect after a few minutes your muscles will start to cramp/spasm slightly. You work for an extra minute after that to get toned. You double that time every week, so first week you will do it for one minute, second week for two minute, third week for four minutes and so on. Continue eating a healthy well balanced diet and reduce your salt intake as salt is the main reason why people tend to bloat and hold extensive amounts of water weight.
