Gyny problem

Question Posted Saturday September 19 2009, 7:50 am

5 months ago I had a adenocarcinoma insitu on my cervix. I had a LEETZ procedure to have it removed and stopped taking the pill, as gyny said it can help with these cells etc. I have only had 1 period since going off the pill (not including withdrawal bleed upon stopping pill)
On 2 occasions now I have had a decent size bleed while having sex with my partner. on the most recent time i had been having an old blood discharge then the bleed which was gone by the next day. Since then, (approx 2 weeks ago), I have been experiencing a constant old blood discharge with some clots, and every few days some fresh blood (small amount lasting about 1 hour or so). I am concerned. I called my gyny as my 6 month check up is not for another month. He said that "this can some times happen"..I dont believe him. Particularly 5 months after the operation and the fact that my period is almost non-existant except for this weird old blood thing. I also have sore breasts and I feel drained, more mentally than physically. I just want to know what is happening to me. I am 22 years old and my emotions are all over the place.

Unfortunately there isn't much advice I can give on this situation as I am not a doctor, however, remember you are always entitled to a second opinion.

Call or book another appointment with a different gyny and talk with them about your problem if you are not happy with the answers you are getting from the doctor you had the procedure with.

Good luck :)
