Crappy and ugly hair

Question Posted Wednesday September 16 2009, 10:53 pm

My hair is soooo ugly right now!!! I have medium hair length (shoulder length), my natural color is light brown/dirty blonde, but I often dye my hair a medium/dark brown. I used to have naturally straight hair when I was little, but after a few years it started to get wavyier. And now whenever I shower or get my hair wet, it naturally is wavy. But since my hair is so short, there's like 5 waves and it looks so gross. That's why I straighten it everyday for school. I know that is a lot of damage to my hair... So I don't need reminders. Here's the thing- I play after school sports right now and my schedule is very crazy and hectic, so I don't really have the time to get it recolored, cut, or deep conditioned. Right now I am using Loreal Vive pro shampoo and conditioner for very dry/damaged hair and I'm not really seeing a difference. Any suggestions on what products I should use? Another thing I noticed is that each individual strand is separated from one another, not like bunched up in clusters of hair... It's weird.

Also, whenever I straighten my hair, it straightens it for a few minutes but then after a while, goes back to normal. I don't know if it's my hair, or if I need a new straightener or what? Where I'm from, there's not much humidity.

Can anyone PLEASE help me?? Rememeber, I don't have the time and money to go to a salon or anything like that.

THANK YOU!!!

i had the EXACT same problem you do,(which is kind of weird) but my hair was completely hideous and my school starts @ 9:20 but i had to wake up at 6:00 just to have enough time to straighten my hair and do all of that other stuufff, but then a couple weeks ago i got a stright perm and iit was the best decision i ever made :)))) i love it SOOOO much now and when i get out of the shower it dries pin straight i LOVE LOVE LOVE IT life is sooooooooo much easier noww <3 and i know you said that you dont have enough time, but you need to fit this somewhere into your schedule!! and i know everyone says that they ruin your hair, but in the future it will be much bettter than straightening your hair every day. if you do get it PLEASE email me with the results!!!!! powerpuffbubbles8@gmail.com

K well what i would recommend you try is treseme or dove shampoo and conditioner those two are the brands that work really well and as for a straightner i think conair should work fine but if you are looking for a new straightner i would recommend chi because its amazing and what you should do is use heat protectant like tresemes or got2b hair protectant it will save your hair from damage when you straigten it and make sure you straighten a few strand of hair at a time it helps keep your hair straight longer and if that doesnt work then use hair spray or again the best brand would be tresemes hair spray so ya thats what in my opinion would work and i think the reason your hair is so wavy is because you probably tie it up a lot but thats fine if you do all that i said you should be fine.
