MsBookgirl answered Monday September 14 2009, 7:57 pm: Yes you can take laptops on a plane.
However there are some requirements:
1) You need a special case to take it in.
2)Airlines allow you to use on certain times. But you cannout use them during take-off and landing. Your radio for wireless internet has to be turned off too.
3) The airline attendants will notify you when you can use it or when you can't.
4)At the checkout point, before heading to your departure gate, you are required to remove the laptop from the bag when you pass it through the XRay machine.
5) If you like more information, contact your airline customer services a few days before you travel and find out more about laptop's policy.
PS:
For things you are allowed or not allowed on the plane, contact the airline customers service too. Because some of their policies may have change and there are stricter rules.
But I do know some stuff you can't take with you, such as:
Lighter fluids
Hammers/drills/screwdrivers,etc(okay so tools aren't allowed)
Blasting Caps
Dynamite
Fireworks
Flares
Aerosal paint
