Fixing the damage this lie has caused!
My boyfriend got me a very special giftm so i promised him I would get one too. When i couldn't find something great enough, I lied and said "it's too awesome to not give it to you in person, it's a very personal gift" (because I was on vacation at the time) I don't know why I lied, and yes I regret it. I would tell him the truth, because I know it doesn't matter much to him, but it just seems so silly, I'd rather just find him a darn gift.. you know?
But I've really talked this gift up now, and I even made him promise me that he'd love it and hint at the fact that it's something that could affect our relationship (as in maybe make us closer, or more serious?)
What could I get him? If I was a guy Id get him a promise ring or something like that.. but it would be lame since I'm a girl (and I really wouldnt be brave enough to make a promise at this point) so HELP!!

I think a promise ring would be the only option. Its not lame if you make it sweet. Like give him a card along with it stating the type of promise the ring makes. It could be anything from marriage to taking the relationship to another level. It could just show your promise to take him seriously and to always care for him. It could mean anything you know? It doesn't have to be something drastic. Just make sure the ring is his style and something he would ADORE. ;)
