In the book "the Lexus and the Olive Tree", the author is talking about the "golden straitjacket". The reason I'm reading this book is for AP world history and we also have to answer questions. I know it probably sounds like I'm just some lazy kid wanting homework answers but honest to god, I wouldn't be asking if this wasn't my last resort. I've tried google, I've tried asking my friends and parents, and I asked my teacher about it but all he said was "go figure it out". These questions are due tomorrow and this is the only question I haven't answered :/ so yeah, the question is "Why is it called a "Golden Straightjacket"? Why was it not called the "Golden Robe" or the "Golden Leisure Suit"? Thanks in advance for ANYONE who answers, I swear I'll rate!!! THANK YOU!
