Semen leaking out after anal while going to the bathroom cause pregnancy?

Question Posted Sunday August 16 2009, 11:45 pm

Is it possible to get pregnant from the semen that leaks out when you go to the bathroom after anal sex? I have been careful to wash the vaginal and anal area consistently after intercourse and have also been careful not to allow semen to contact the vaginal area. Is it possible that the semen leaking out of the anus can get in contact with the vaginal area while on the toilet?

It's not common, but it's possible. Use a condom every time during sexual contact. Also, you can contract STDs from anal, so condoms are still necessary. However, if you are going from anal to vaginal, change the condom. You can get nasty infections by using the same condom during anal and vaginal intercourse.

You would have to be one of the unlucky percentage to have that happen to you, but it's NOT unheard of.
Just use a condom.

Sweetie. If you have sex, there is always a chance you will get pregnant. Yes, there's a chance. Is it likely? No, probably not. It's still a good idea to always use protection, even in nonvaginal sex, because there is always a chance of pregnancy and STDs. I'm not going to be your mom, and tell you to wear a condom every time, but be prepared for all possible consequences if you don't.

Most likely not, but it may have happened during the actual intercourse.

This is why using a condom is crucial.

Please be more careful next time.
