line on mac screen

Question Posted Friday August 7 2009, 11:54 am

my warranty recently expired for my mac laptop back in july. it just so happens that right after it expried, some weird vertical blue line showed up on my screen. i took a screen shot and it won't show up in that. i've googled this and several sites/people are saying it's a problem with the LCD screen. if this is true, i really dont want to pay around $6oo for a new screen. it's ridiculous. anybody have any fixes?

usually a blue line is a microscopic crack in the screen itelf, thats why its ot showing up in the screenshots. basically, that whole row of "pixels" on the screen is damaged.

the only way to fix it is screen replacement, or getting a new mac. otherwise, it will not go away.

hope this helps! =]
