Itch

Question Posted Friday August 7 2009, 8:46 am

I've been really itchy lately all over my thighs, and I recently noticed these tiny white bumps on the inside of my thighs.
What is this? I was thinking it may be dry skin, or razor burn, so I apply lotion now and I actually havent shaved to see if it will go away. I've had them for about 2/4 days.

We aren't doctors but I would have to think it's an allergic reaction. Were you using a different kind of shaving cream, lotion, scented soap with perfume or bath products? If so, that could account for the bumps. I doubt it's razor burn but I'm not a girl so I wouldn't know.

What you should do is see a doctor at a walk-in clinic or your own if you can and have them tell you what it is and the cause. In the meantime don't use any new products near the area. This could also be an allergic reaction to fabric be it pants, underwear or anything in contact with that area of your body.

Talk to your parents about it and see a doctor to be safe. It's not anything that will kill you. I've never heard of razor burn in males or females causing white bumps like you describe. That doesn't mean it can't.

Shaving cream usually causes itching, redness and soreness and blotches. It may cause bumps too. It's a problem I deal with when it comes to my face.

it could be razor burn, but usually those bumps are red or pink in color.

It could also be heat bumps, because of the friction you cause when you walk,

if you have spent alot of time outside lately, it could be something from outside.

keep lotion on it, if it doesnt go away in a week or so, go to the doctor. it could be something more serious like scabes.

hope this helps!
