Hi. I've been playing soccer since I was 7. I thought that it would be something I would still want play once I got to college but when I realized I didn't, I felt it was too late..Well now here I am, a sophomore in college and I'm stuck playing soccer. I have a full scholarship so that just makes it even harder. I don't want to dissapoint my parents but I feel like this is the time where I should be doing what I want to do. Isn't college about finding yourself? so my question is what should I do? At this rate I feel like I'll do anything to get out of playing soccer.

Are certain player harassing you? Is something happening with the squad that's soured your view? I'm 99.9% positive that if you asked yourself that you would say yes. Are you afraid of anything?
Grapple with that first and talk to those involved in conflict or with what you're upset or even afraid over. You're suddenly disinterested in soccer which you loved for decades--hating it makes no sense. There's a problem here but it ain't the game.
You have a scholarship to protect and are earning a great education that you wouldn't have otherwise. Stick it out with soccer until you graduate. I know you don't want to but it will build character and give you an education that will lead to a great job. We all have to do something we don't like in order to do something we dreamed about.
You can tell people you dislike soccer but keep doing it as it's your ticket to higher education and your dreams. You can still find out who you are while playing soccer.
After you finish school you can do what you want but for now you've got an obligation to yourself, your parents, your team and your school. Yes it's frustrating and hard at times but you'll kick yourself for not going forward. In the end this situation will teach you more about who you are and what you're made of.
I'm in kickboxing and it's bloody difficult for beginners let alone someone who isn't an athlete and never was. I went into this 216 lbs 5 ft 10 and have dropped 50 pounds. Do you think I had a good or easy time of it? Do you think I do now?
