It's all on the ticket. It has to be. Check it over thoroughly as there should be a case number and instructions on when and where to appear.

When it comes to traffic tickets the cop who wrote yours needs to be in the courtroom at the same time as you do to testify against you. A lot of them are on active duty and won't be showing up unless they charged you with something. If they don't show up the ticket is void and nothing happens to your record or points.

It's a whole other ballgame when they charge you with something ie: dangerous driving but that's not the case. At either rate talk to your parents, tell them what happened and get their help in dealing with it.

You won't have to go to traffic school but reviewing the rules or taking defensive driving even if licensed fully is always a good thing. Adults do it. As long as you learned something that's the key. You can bet you'll be more careful of stop signs from here on.

well since i dont live in nor have i ever been to Michigan i honestly dont know anything about traffic court procedures there but im sure that somewhere on your citation you should find either your scheduled court date/time or at the very least the number to your local traffic court.

go to traffic court and the judge will see that this is your 1st offense ever and 98% chance he/she will just let it go as your freebie. which means there will be nothing to report to dmv, which means your insurance will not be effected. so whatever you do..

DONT PAY ANYTHING!!

just look on your ticket for your scheduled court date/time. if for some reason you lost it or the info your looking for isnt on the ticket, call the traffic court give them your info and they will let you know everything you need to do to stay in compliance.
