9 month "period" I am a female in my mid-twenties. I have never beared any children, misscarried, or aborted. Nor have I ever been to an OBGYN. I am not a Virgin, but I can count of the number of times I have engaged in sexual intercourse, on one hand - all times being with the same partner.
For the past 9 months, I have had constant vaginal bleeding. Every single day. It won't stop. The amount of blood loss is that of a period; so this is not light spotting we're talking about.
Obviously, something is wrong. I am not experiencing any pain, itching, burning, redness, swelling. Nor any other symptoms, such as headaches or fatique or cramping. Just constant daily bleeding.
I know I need to seek medical attention. However, not only am I incredibly embarrassed, but I don't have any sort of health insurance or coverage. And I have no source of income to cover any bills. I feel that I am stuck. It is a huge burden of discomfort, not to mention, it is terrifying. I have just grown used to it. Its become normal to me - my life for the past 9 months. I've told not a soul.
I just don't know what to do. I can't afford help - and even if I could, I don't know if I could go through that sort of humiliation and testing. And I don't even know what type of clinic is right for me.
Do you think Planned Parenthood might suffice?
My biggest worry in all of this, is that something might be wrong which might strip me of my ability to have my own child.
What should I do? And if I do seek medicial help, do you have any ideas or guesses as to what might occur in this exam??
I looked to you, because I read that you have involvement in the medical field. Please, help me. :/

You do need to see a doctor. There is nothing for you to be embarrassed about. You will probably get a pelvic exam. They are awkward for all women but it is important a doctor check you out inside.
Here is a link to what happens during a pelvic exam.

You do not need to see an expensive OBGYN. You can see any kind of general practitioner or family doctor. Planned parenthood would be a good place to start. If they can't help you, they can point you to a place in your area that can. Just ask them. :)
Do please see a doctor. You want to get this taken care of soon. ]
