Most definitely. I have the same problem with my lip ring so whenever I want to take it out and get a new one, I go to the parlor & have them do it. Never take it out yourself if you're scared you can't put it back in. It'll just cause you to feel stupid & for the hole to close. Not to mention you'll lose out on the money you spent.

Did they tell you when you could switch the ring? Or if you can even do it?

I would go back and ask, I wouldn't try to take it out yourself if you're unsure.

**EDIT**

Because it's probably not safe for you to do it. Have them take it out and replace it.
