for school i have to complete 5 hours of service to a non-profit charitable orgaization. what are some good places to voulenteer besides a soup kitchen, nursing home, or animal shelter?

Also, try going to the local middle schools and asking if they need after school tutors or anything. You can also ask if they need somebody to work scoreboards and/or sell candy at sporting events.
xosodapopx3 answered Friday July 24 2009, 7:33 pm: Habitat for Humanity is a really amazing program to get into. Look it up online, Im sure there is a program guide somewhere near where you live. I have worked with them, and its great, you basically help build homes for under privilaged families that cant afford them.
also go to your local animal shelter, its really nice to help out there too.
