birth control?
k so. some of my friends and sisters are on birth control and most my friends tell me its awesome it makes your periods lighter and it fills your body out like your curves and makes your boobs bigger, they lost a little weight and the pill basically makes you grow up. one of my sisters told me she got really sick and gained 10 pounds but then her body got used to it and it worked to make her periods better. im thinking about going on it because my periods fucking suck and the filling out your body and losing some weight sounds good too mee, plus i dont have too realllly worry about shit when i have sex. so whats the deal? do you only get sick if its a higher dose or something? i dont wanna gain weight cus i dont really like the weight i am now as it is. help please!

Hey i had the same questions before i went on birth control! It works wonders on your period. Before i got on it my periods sucked too! They were long and heavy and now they're light and they only last a few days its wonderful! Some people do gain weight some dont. I never did. The pill is 99.9% effective and like you said you wont really have to worry. I never did get sick though when i first went on it. I guess everybody is different. If you do get on the pill i would suggest YAZ. It really is great, and you will know when your period is because you take 4 pills that are like 'sugar' pills so thats helpful! Best of luck :)

it all depends on the individual, some gain weight, some lose weight. some people have symptoms and some don't. i'm on the depo provera shot which i think is great because it doesnt really mess with your weight too much, i actually lost weight but it's because i've been working out and eating better, nothing to do with the birth control. i really do suggest the shot because you only need to get it every 3 months, it doesnt hurt too bad and it's just as protective as the pill and you dont have to worry about missing days. also with the shot your period is super light or you may not even get it! def. look into it. hope i helped!

You ALWAYS need to worry about things when you have sex, Pill or not it is not 100% effective and there is always a chance of pregnancy the only thing the pill will do is help you from a higher chance of getting pregnant and it doesn't prevent STD. Birth control works different for everyone, I have never been on the pill but I have been on Depo, IUDs etc and I did not notice any weight loss at all infact I might of gained a little bit of weight. The pill is good if you have a heavy period and yes I've heard it does regulate it. No, it does NOT make your boobs bigger, The pills is a birth control not a breast implant. Also, it doesn't make you "grow up" either. It is good to have but remember there is always a chance something could go wrong so don't get it embedded in your head that it is a "incredible thing, I won't get pregnant and I will lose weight and grow up" it doesnt' work that way.
