i would like to make sure that my hymen is broken before i have sex with my boyfriend of 3 years [:
i have been playing sports most of my life, and its possible its broken but im not 100 percent sure. how do you know if its broken? how deep in the vagina is the hymen, this way i can see if its broken.

the hymen doesnt cover the opening of your vagina.. it really depends on the person. some girls have super high hymens, some pretty close up. the averages 4 or 5 inches i think. really you should go to the doctor and if you dont want to bluntly come out and say "is my hymen broke" say like you think it might have from a sport and you wanted to know for sure. hope i helped!

The hymen is actually not in the vagina at all.
It covers the opening.
