Shoplifting
Hey im 18/f and i got caught shoplifting at a shopko with my friend. The thing is though is i helped her take the blame even though i didnt shoplift, they left the room and she gave me some of her stuff and i thought being a good friend i would help her take the rap. They decided not to press charges/prosecute us and we didnt have to go to court or anything just pay a fine. Is this still on our records even though they didnt take any action, besides sending us a fee? I know this was really stupid of me, but at the time it seemed like the right thing to do was to help my friend. Thanks!

I don't think it's on your record if they didn't take any further action.
Next time, tell your friend "no" and avoid all of the unnecessary stress =/
