how did michael jackson get the name "the king of pop"? i read it somewhere in yahoo news but now i cant find it. i wanna know who FIRST reffered to him as the king of pop.. thankss

Elizabeth Taylor gave him the nickname. It just kinda stuck, and I think it fits. The dude is a beast when it comes to music.
