What is Hypertensive Heart Disease? Billy Mays died of it?
Question Posted Tuesday June 30 2009, 12:14 am
Somebody told me that Billy Mays died of hypertensive heart disease (is that true, by the way?) and he didn't really die from hitting his head in the airplane. What is hypertensive heart disease, out of curiosity?
(But if you go with my definition, it's still correct.)
And about Billy Mays, according to the autopsy report of Dr. Vernard Adams, a medical examiner of Hillsborough County, there were signs of hypertensive heart disease and arteriosclerotic heart disease. So they probably are the cause of his death.
But--note this--as of now, this is just merely a high possibility. Nothing is sure yet.
Again, there were signs of hypertensive AND arterioscleriotic disease of the heart.
Apparently a toxicology test (a standard test for drugs) will be conduct and it will be complete within six to eight weeks. Also, histologic studies (using microscopes to examine the tissues) will also be conduct.
Let's wait until then before we jump into any conclusion and risk spreading false news.
Again, the cause of his death is NOT YET KNOWN, at least not until the final results of the histologic studies and toxicology test are revealed. Hypertensive heart disease and arteriosclerotic heart disease are the top suspected causes of his death as-of-now.
(I highly recommend you to watch the video. It'll tell you all that you wanted to know. Another reason is that because so far, about one-third of the news that I've read about Billy Mays are either FALSE or INCOMPLETE. You should be able to distinguish what is false and what is right after watching that video [and maybe explain to that "somebody" about what really is going on, too].)
