hey again :) i know relationships aren't your specialty but you're helping me alot and its good to get a guys view on things.
okayy so i hung out with my ex and one of my best friends and then we met up with 2 other friends, so it was the 5 of us. it was chill, we talked like friends would talk, nothing serious. he brought up things from the past though like i had my favorite necklace on my mirror in the car and he pointed that out and one of my favorite songs was on the radio so he stopped and let it play saying "oh you love this song" when he doesn't like it. then at the end of the night i didn't feel like getting up so i said to like everyone "can someone give me a piggy back ride to the car" and he gave me one. he's been really chill and i want him back, but i don't want to come on too strong. so my questions are, 1. when should i ask him if he wants to go on vacation with me? (he probably does cause he wants me to teach him how to surf lol) and 2. should i just keep hanging out as his friend or should i hint i still love him? if so, how? thank you soo much.

Hehehe, you are a strange one, aren't you? You know that I am an idiot at these stuffs yet you still ask me. Lol, all right then, don't blame me if negative stuffs happen, okay? =)
Anyway, since you don't seem to be the "innocent femininity" type, why don't you find a time when you two are alone and just frankly tell him?
You could:
Method 1: Send him a text message saying that you still love him and would like to get back together again.
Method 2: Just frankly blurt it out.
Method 3: At 7:00 PM, slightly kiss him on the lips, and slightly whisper "I still love you" into his ear.
(and yes, there is a certain myth about the miracles of the love confessions that happen at exactly 7:00 PM, near a fountain, on a full-moon day. Of course it's just a myth, so don't expect anything from it; but hey, I thought it's kind of cute [hahaha]. And I leave out the "near a fountain" and "full moon" parts because I don't think there's any fountain near where you two live, and waiting for a full moon sounds troublesome. It's just a myth anyway.)
Method 4: Stay as friend and move on (which doesn't seem like what you wanted to do.)
And about the vacation part, ask him AFTER he had answered you.
--If he agreed to get back together with you, then WEEEE!!! The vacation becomes a HONEYMOON!!!
--If he rejected you, then still WEEEE!!! The vacation provides a SECOND chance.
It's a win-win situation, lol. ]
