Infected Belly Button Piercing Vs. Melaleuca oil
My belly button peircing is slightly infected. Is it safe to use Melaleuca oil on it to help clean it? I dont have anything to clean it with, ive just been using antibacterial body wash. the ingredients on this is: 100% pure, natural melaleuca alternifolia found to contain at least 36% terpinen-4-oil and no greater than 5% cineole

Did the piercing studio not give you an after care sheet? It's their responsibility to do that. It will list everything you can clean it with and what to do if infection sets in. I would get on the phone to them ASAP and ask what to use so that you get it correct.
If you pierced this yourself you have done nothing but set yourself up for problems. You aren't professional qualified to do this and it's no wonder it's infected. Based on the feedback you gave me that's the reason you're in trouble because you know nothing about aftercare or how to do this.
